2013 Elk
This fall we were looking for bull elk and not having much success. We were fortunate enough to be able to see a few nice bulls but not the herding bulls we we desired. We were traveling one afternoon toward Fishing Bridge when we noticed a few cars along side of the road. That means for us an immediate stop. We meandered through the lightly forested woods and spotted this fine bull resting in the shade. He was located about one mile south of the artist point bridge on the west side of the road. This is perhaps one of my favorite photos of the year.
